Additionally, the Therapeutic Goods (Medical Devices) Regulations 2002, requires inclusion and certification of Therapeutic Goods manufactured in Australia by Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). It is an offence, carrying heavy penalties, to manufacture therapeutic goods for human use without a TGA Licence and in compliance with ISO 13485 Medical Devices Quality management system, unless the manufacturer or the goods are exempt from this requirement.
